Would we want a system like reddit gold, where having gold gives certain benefits, or just as ways to give extra appreciation to comments?
I would prefer gold to be only to highlight good comments. Paying for benefits is kind of meh.
EDIT: Also, we are already getting improvements by leveling up!

It's kinda like those games where you can pay not to grind... or just grind. You can get the same benefits without ever getting a "gold" (or whatever it is), but you'd get the benefits faster if you did.
