I'm fairly open-minded. I've subscribed to some video game related tribes, but I enjoy electronics-related things, news, and politics as well. I'm open to any kind of suggestions

  You're in luck. There are 131 tribes with the name "game" in them. There's also /t/technology, a variety of news tribes and /t/politics and nation-specific variants.
