100% agree with everything, but i would say it started more than 3 months ago, more like 3 years.. and yes the admins and certain mods are complete tools.
It probably did, but I've only been a redditor for about 8 months, so I couldn't say. I guess things just got even worse around that time, and I noticed.
Its strange, I honestly don't think I would've joined reddit if I found it around the time you did. Maybe its only due to the fact that I've seen it fall so much in the past few years. I just wouldn't see the awesome points that brought me to the community in the first place because, well, they are pretty much gone. I started lurking a bit before the digg migration.
Also, I find the complaint about Unidan funny. He is actually one of the best powerusers the site has ever seen. The ones before brought no content to the site. At least Unidan posts interesting stuff.
I actually think Unidan is a pretty great guy. He's intelligent and well-natured, which is more than I can say for a lot of people on reddit.
What I have a problem with is the people that treat him like he's the best thing since sliced bread. (Off-topic, but I actually prefer whole loaf bread. It can be so many different things! It generally tastes better, too.) But when an entire thread gets derailed because he popped up and others just think it's perfectly fine to sit there fawning over him, it kind of bothers me. It's similar to how people just love to idolize popular celebrities.
Not saying it's a bad thing, I just find it a little annoying. I in no way wish to speak ill of Unidan, he's pretty neat.
Oh ya. I think that's just for every poweruser. People will circlejerk whenever they see a poweruser. It just so happens that Unidan is well respected so the circlejerk is how much they like him. I see what you are saying. It gets annoying.

I agree with this assessment. I'm going there less and less as I'm sick of seeing the hate fests,,the trolling and the immunity. I left Digg for Reddit and now I'm gradually leaving Reddit for this site.
