The powers out!

It's a stormy night and the power has been out for awhile. I do have a bottle of Sangria and a gallon of ice cream. What is everyone else doing tonight?

16,245 households are out of power. I wonder where I am in the queue to get fixed?

Don't leave us hanging like this! What kind of Gilligan's Island jury-rigged systems have set up in the time you've been marooned without AC? Bet you've got some kind of survival-skill engineering machine worked out with rocks and palm fronds to blend the icier drinks...

I have a backup battery for small apliances and phones, sangria, melted ice cream, and I am currently playing cards against humanity with mw wife, teenage son and mother. None of us will be the same after this. I also cooked up meat on the weber grill because I aint letting steak go to waste.

Oh man, this brings back memories of a few months back when a huge wind storm took out power to over 200k homes. Trees fell, grid lock, and a weird urge to party in the candle light took hold! 3 days no power, we had food and beverages in ice chests :) Total chaos!

Hurricane parties are thrown here when the power is really down and out. The longest it's been out here was 5 days. The power just flickered here during our latest thunder storm,so I was on line.

Luckily the power came on about a half hour after we went to bed. It did make for a fun night but I think I gained a few pounds.
