I was told to introduce myself.

So here I am! I opted for the name click, because I like photography. I'll most likely share a thing or two later on. As well as random tech news I come across, since I browse that kind of thing.

I don't know what you'd like to know about me. Ask me anything, if you feel so inclined. Otherwise I'll go find some appropriate tribes, and have a look around. If you've got any suggestions, tell me!

Let me add - if you've got any hints about snapzu and how to use it, or life in general, I'd appreciate that as well!

if you've got any hints about snapzu and how to use it

Just a heads up about a key difference with Reddit, Voat and the likes : on Snapzu, content and much of the experience is user centered, not tribe/community/group/subX centered. So when you publish something, you're clearly identified as the owner of that content (called snap here) and you can move it around the different tribes even after you posted it. You can follow people (called Snapzites here) as easily, or even more easily, as you can follow tribes. Only discussions (also called text posts) belong to tribes and can't be moved.

Also, when creating a snap (content to be shared), be aware of all the different optional modules to create almost endless possibilities.

One last thing, before publishing a snap, make sure to select the content type, because it's one of the very few things (the only one?) that you can't change back after it was published.

Edit: I just saw that there's a popup that prompts you to choose one if you omit it with the last update, so you can forget my last advice. ;-)

Thanks for the hint! I'm planning on waiting with sharing content until I get a feel for how others do it (so your advice is incredible helpful) so I understand how things function here. I was an earlier adopter of voat, and am becoming dissatisfied with what the community is turning into - people are assuming it's just reddit, but without the admins there. I'll be doing my best to get a feel for the site and community before trying to participate too much in it ;)

Thank you! Where can I find places to share that? I joined pics, but are there other places?

/t/photography, /t/pics are the first ones that come to mind, just do a search with related terms and select the tribe tab in the result page.

pretty sure once won't hurt you. but I have two younger kids so they've watched every episode like 5 times and it's going to haunt me until the end of my days.

Hi Click and welcome. Check out /t/blog for info about snapzu updates and functions. Also in Lounge there is a weekly discussion about tribes (the exception to the no tribe promotion rule). Enjoy!

Oh that's good to know! I'll definitely join /blog, and I'm sure I won't promote any tribes for a while. I want to get to know the place better before I start doing that ;)
