Both units could be sold, or could have been sold without any problems up until today. We tried to contact both estates 3 times, after a bereavement period, to get them to work with us if they wanted to sell the units. We were hoping to get a response saying "Hey we are going to sell the unit." and then we would waive some or all of the past money owed just so we could get people in them. A empty unit doesn't help others in the community. Since we didn't receive a response at all we kinda felt our hands were tied. Now we cant charge our paying landowners anymore than they already pay because they are already keeping us afloat. I took over as president in Aug 2015 after I kicked all the board members off and installed a new board. The total owed to the community at that time was $45,000 from people who were not paying their dues. It doesn't sound like much but that money is needed for repairs, streets, and grounds and that amount pilled up after a few years of the board not taking any action. I just closed the books on 2015 and we are another $10,000.00 in the shortfall for 2015. This year is the year of lawyers and collection agencies. I shouldn't fell bad because I actually asked for this and I knew beforehand that it was going to be a pain.
