Welcome! I still check out a couple subreddits that don't have equivalent tribes/communities, but those are not really reflective of reddit as a whole. I left reddit because I could rarely take part in a discussion without feeling dirty, and I got sick of seeing the CEO's name and face everywhere. Maybe I'm just weak!
Just, in general, her name works its way into lots of conversations because her drama has become almost synonymous with reddit. I think it's a really bad look. Regardless of how much she's to blame, they would do well to get rid of her and save their image.

The CEO's [unnamed] name and face have been all over the front page of snapzu for a couple weeks too...
Is that from all of the spam on the front page last week, or something different?

Pao is like Slashdot's Beta (and later Dice's spambaiting) where everyone is complaining but not enough people are leaving.
Makes sense. People do like to bring her up for completely unrelated things.
