+44 +3'Kill a cop, save a child' vandalism a 'hate crime,' North Carolina police chief says
The vandal who scrawled a call for the murder of cops over a suburban North Carolina town's mural committed a hate crime, as far as the local police chief is concerned. The words, "Kill a cop, save a child," were found early Friday spray-painted across a partially finished mural at the Garner Police Department's new building, which is currently under construction, Garner Police Chief Brandon Zuidema told FoxNews.com. A similar incident occurred three nights later...

+20 +3Handstyle Murals by Nemel, Geso and Earsnot
A good tag signifies the real talent of a graffiti artist. Perfecting a tag is like taking care of your foundation. Making large scale murals with tags is therefore a tribute to the origin of graffiti. A sign of excistence in a world bombarded with messages of propaganda, a tool to communicate the individualism and uniqueness of a person. A tag is the smallest piece possible for a graffiti artist, but takes up most of his/her carreer: refining, polishing, evolving, renewing. Every day.

+3 +3Ext Cap: how to make one in a few easy steps
A few years back a friend asked me how to create an ext-cap (also known as stencilcap). I made some photo's during "production". The purpose of this extention of the spraycan can be diverse: from ultra thin lines to sweet fine calligraphy. But it can make or break your day: if you use it for the first time(s), you'll probably end up with a mess. :-D

+3 +3Style Wars(1983)
This looks like a proper first post for this tribe. When I saw the movie for the first time (1985), it was also the first time I saw a writer's bench. Already tagging up buildings of local municipalities there was this need for upgrading (in those teenage eyes the pieces on the trains were like gigantic, never seen such things). It quickly changed my way of working and found my first bench soon after. Many years later, still that wonder in my heart, still painting.

Combo, a street artist in France, created a playful and mischievous piece of street art after someone had been sent to paint over his original piece. After observing a man painting over parts of his work, Combo snapped a photo and later returned to paint the man into his street art!
