Honestly, I'm loving it way faster and harder than I did the Sims 3 as the expansions rolled out. The packs don't make me feel like I HAVE to have them, they add just the right amount of stuff for the cost. And the full on expansions are great, they add a lot more than their Sims 3 predecessors. They have a bit to go in terms of the AI, but it is very enjoyable, they're doing a great job listening to the community and giving great updates for free in the base game. If nothing else, just buy it on Origin and give it a whirl since you can return it for the full price within 24 hours. Only reason why I feel safe pre-ordering things from EA. (less glitchy too)
