I love persimmons

A recently found love I might add, maybe a year since I found out these wonderful fruits existed, I eat at least one a day now...haven't shown signs of getting sick of them quite yet! Anyone else adore these things?

    I really like them too and eat a few every week as a part of my fruit intake (along with bananas, apples and pears). For those wondering here is a pic of Persimmons. The taste and consistency is somewhat hard to describe, but if I was to compare it to another fruit I would go with a tomato except significantly more crunchy with a harder consistency and a much sweeter taste.

    Never tried them, first time hearing about them. I'll be on the lookout though.

    I have ate them many times off the tree in southern Ohio.

    I've not seen them in the grocery in years. I remember having them as a kid and found them to be tasty.

    Huell Hauser had a really good documentary on PBS, it showed all the intricacies involved in growing them, well worth watching.

      Really interested in seeing it, do you by any chance remember what its called? I tried to find it but with no luck.
