Yeah, I have to say that when I was taking a bus tour around Sakurajima I was feeling nervous after hearing that the volcano usually has an eruption every day or so, but hadn't had one in a few days. I have a nice picture of cloud plume from the centre of Kagoshima. We arrived at Kagoshima shopping district and were just walking around when I started poking my GF and pointing to the skyline. Amusing thing was that my friend and his soon to be wife (as in the next day) were on the volcano at the same time as the event.
Being stuck in a volcano eruption area being chased and surrounded by lava like in Dante's Peak I know it's extremely unrealistic, but it does happen.
Shiit, that's a good one. Completely forgot about that movie, should rewatch it.
