Westworld: how the most glorious show on TV became the biggest mess
American TV has a very weird and specific problem right now: every child exists on TV simply to reflect an adults’ trauma back at them, and nothing else. They droop around the house with a teddy bear asking weird, direct questions at bedtime about how, “Mommy … you seem sad.” Response: “I am, sweetie. [Crying, catching the cry, lowering to a whisper] I am.” I’ll admit I don’t interact with children very often (I am personally childless), but is this how they talk now? These scenes are unbearable, and there is a plague of them.

It's 2022. Does Elvis Presley still matter?
Thanks to Baz Luhrmann’s lavish new biopic, Elvis Presley is about to have a moment. He needs one. The second half of the 20th century, for those who came of age during it, was in essence one giant Elvis moment. He was at the epicenter of pop culture from the opening “well” of his first No. 1 hit, “Heartbreak Hotel,” in 1956, through his death in 1977 and beyond.

"Delighted" John Carpenter happy fans prefer his version of The Thing
As uttered by the character MacReady (Kurt Russell) in John Carpenter’s 1982 classic The Thing, those words reveal a world where one cannot trust their neighbor, where all humanity is lost, and where a soulless copy can replace anyone. Much like Ron, it’s a world gone wrong.

You can watch For All Mankind for free on Apple TV+ for a limited time
It’s easy to think of Apple TV+ as one of the lightweights in the Streaming Wars, but they’ve been quietly building up a catalog of solid shows for a while, including Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest and For All Mankind. That last one may be the service’s most ambitious series. Hailing from Battlestar Galactica creator Ronald D.
