    Fighter jet crash in Spain kills 10

    Eight French people were among 10 killed when a Greek fighter jet crashed during take-off at a base in Spain. The F-16 jet "lost power", crashing at Los Llanos air base in Albacete, Spain's defence ministry said. At least five other planes were damaged. One of the two Greek pilots had performed a wrong manoeuvre, local media said. Both pilots were killed. French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will travel to the scene of the crash on Tuesday.

    NJ Turnpike I-95 Crash due to Black Ice

    I was blocked by two trucks on south bound I-95 at exit 9 in NJ (New Brunswick exit). I only wanted to take a picture while i was awaiting for them to clear up... And then I heard a noise from behind...I was barely missed.Once I turned off camera, I called in 911 and reported the accident. After that I came to the truck and the rest of the cars to verify they were alright. After arrival of NJ State Trooper and his dismissal confirming that he does not require my presence, I left the scene.

    Dozens die in Pakistan bus inferno

    More than 50 people have been killed and more injured after a bus collided with an oil tanker near the Pakistani city of Karachi, doctors say. The tanker was reportedly speeding and travelling on the wrong side of the road when it hit the bus head-on. Both vehicles burst into flames. Some passengers travelling on the roof of the bus were able to jump to safety but many of those inside were trapped.

    Fifty-nine passengers lost their lives and several others were seriously wounded, mainly suffering burn injuries in a road accident on National Highway between an oil tanker and a passenger coach late Saturday night. Officials talking to APP Sunday said the overloaded coach was en-route to Shikarpur from Karachi when it collided with an oil tanker speeding from opposite direction on the single track link road, of the highway, engulfing the coach in fire.

    As searchers close in on what appears to be the main wreckage of AirAsia Flight 8501 the retrieval of the airplane’s flight data and cockpit voice recorders should soon follow. The wreckage lies no more than around 100 feet down in the Java Sea.     Ship collision causes 33,000 barrel oil spill off Singapore

    An oil tanker and a bulk carrier collided off Singapore on Friday, causing a crude oil spill, the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) said. The Libyan-registered oil tanker Alyarmouk collided with the Singapore-registered bulk carrier Sinar Kapuas about 11 nautical miles north-east of Pedra Branca, east of Singapore.
