What are your plans for the Holiday Weekend?

Since July 4th is upon us (Happy Independence Day!), I thought I would ask what everyone is doing this weekend?

If you're not from the United States, what are you doing this weekend? Have any plans for the upcoming week?

-----

I'm spending the night with my family at my parent's condo. We look right on to downtown Grand Rapids, right in front of the park where they have the fireworks show. Front row view for us without all the crowds! Should be a good time tonight.

I spent the weekend talking with the group i'm travelling with about what we're doing when we visit Poland in a month

That sounds awesome! I would love to go to Poland, especially Warsaw.

Yeah, we're visiting those areas and learning about the events of the holocaust. I'm really excited to visit.

Relaxing and trying to enjoy this Dutch heatwave! Sadly it's like Houston-levels of warm but the houses here don't have AC which makes it killer trying to sleep at night...

That sounds brutal. I hated not having AC in my college apartment.

Yeah. I mean, you learn to cope but just sometimes you need that little dinky standing fan to blow some cool air.

Honestly just relaxing this weekend. It's the first in a while that I haven't had some trip to make.

Speaking of Michigan, I grew up in Midland. We would always go to the Tridge to watch fireworks.

Awesome stuff. Never been to Midland, but know several people from there. They do have a really nice nature center though.

Yeah that and the museum were amazing to have as a kid. I gotta go back one of these days!
