hi.

i just woke up early after staying up late, so i'm tired and for the moment alone. so here i am.

what do you do when it's early and you can't go back to sleep?

    When the sun is beaming down on my head, once I know the sun is up I know its time for me to get up.

      I wish I could have that sort of attitude. I'm very much not a morning person - I pretty much drink coffee, browse the 'net, and hope it'll be a normal day.

    This happened to me today! Most of the time it's usually after a night of drinking. Went to bed at 4am last night and woke up at around 8am this morning and couldn't fall asleep. Tried, gave up, then went to get a delicious iced coffee.

      I always avoid checking the time when I wake up. I normally fade in and out of sleep for a couple of hours and end up getting up around 11. But I went to bed a 3:30, woke up, did my grumpy rolling around, and hopped up.

      And it was 7:30. Pretty unsettling, honestly.

        Yeah that's brutal. The sun also does not help. Probably why I woke up so early this morning. I have huge floor to ceiling windows and left the blind up last night, so the sun was beating right down on my face this morning. Not fun.

          My curtains were open, come to think of it. That's probably why I thought it was so much later, since my room was much brighter than it normally is early in the morn.

    I tend to not be a morning person unless I go outside. So when I wake up super early and have nothing to do I like to brew some tea and go sit on my porch. Lets me kind of sit and relax while enjoying the quite neighborhood. If I'm feeling up for it sometimes I just go for a walk. Not much to see around here just a regular residential place, but I like the way things look in the morning. If I stay in the house I end up just sitting in front of the computer and it takes a whole lot longer to get over my morning grumpiness.

      I'll have to try this next time this happens. I've already spent two hours on Snapzu, so I'm probably already set for a bad day.

    Regardless of a good nights sleep, I feel grumpy and uncomfortable until I take a shower.
