    I'm sure I can recall more, but the one that I remember fondly was the singularity is near. When I first read it in '07 it made me think about how future technology will positively effect our lives and how technology is advancing at a pace that we mostly fail to realize how quickly change will happen as we progress down the exponential. I guess I look at things differently now, and have this optimism about technology that used to terrify me every time I thought about it.

    Edit: BTW, you didn't mention yours, would love to hear your story too :)

      Perhaps I should make a read of that. I have a more pessimistic view of future technology, specifically that machines will further replace areas of human employment. I could only seeing it as further dividing the haves and the have-nots.

        It's a really good read, highly recommend it. Sure there will be problems we must resolve in the future but we always figure them out.
