What app(s) do you use to take notes, brainstorm, store ideas?

Now that I will be working approximately 50/50 across 2 devices, I need to finally upgrade from Windows Notepad to something that can be synced between the 2 devices. Any recommendations? I'm on windows PC and (new) Android OS.

    Classic Notepad works just fine for me!

    I've tried a number of things over the years, but I always end up gravitating back to Google docs or Google sheets.

    I use Inkpad Notepad. It's available for both Android and Apple devices and has the option to back up your notes on their website.

    I'm currently using Evernote, Wunderlist and Google Docs.
