Huge owl hatches chicks outside man’s window — now the brood watches TV with him

One of the world’s largest owls, the Eurasian eagle owl, set up camp in Jos Baart’s third-storey apartment planter. Here’s some happy news, courtesy of Adventure Aquarium. The aquarium’s third little blue penguin chick is “doing well and growing strong," general curator Nicole Grandinetti said Monday. She weighed less than 2 ounces upon being hatched April 2, but is now up to 11.6 ounces and eating fish including silversides, trout and herring filets.

One little boy has done so much to help his animal friends in Australia and he's doing it by making one clay koala at a time. Owen Colley, a 6-year-old from Hingham, Massachusetts, was upset to learn about the Australian bushfires two weeks ago, his mom Caitlin Colley said. He asked if any animals had been hurt in the fire and his mom said yes.
