    Richard Dawkins once said, "I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world."

    I once had a professor who phrased it as "Faith is the opposite of critical thought." If you're willing to accept that some things can't be questioned or shouldn't be questioned (or, in my opinion even worse, if you're willing to teach children that it's a virtue to accept some things without question), then that faith becomes the willful suspension of critical thought.

    I agree with you that the solution to injustice starts with education. We should be teaching children to constantly ask questions, instead of trying to shut them up.
