Personally, I look for the civil discussion (which is why /t/asksnapzu is my main haunt), but I know that a lot of Snapzites come here for the interesting links. The front page, a good reflection of most users' likes, is usually populated with neat articles and stuff that you don't really find anywhere else. Anything that would make you say, "That's pretty cool," or that would cause you to really think is good content in my eyes. And of course, current news and developments are always popular.

I come looking for discussions as well.

Yeah, and I'm overall pleased with what I've found. At first I thought the small userbase here would be an issue, but I'm really glad to see that it's only served to increase the quality of discussion we have.

I like looking for the obscure and unusual quite frankly..Things I've not read about a hundred times before.

Wide variety is certain. I really appreciate the ability of a snap to contain multiple sources/media on the same topic. Specifics: nature, sports, outdoors, interesting or offbeat local/world news, space, science, indepth stories, literature, history, sci-fi, photography: are the ones on the top of my head today.

Mostly the links, lots of great stuff here! I try my best to repay my dues with my own links here and there.

Now of course, I hesitate to answer what the "average user" looks for, being only able o give my own preferences and observations from others... More than any particular form of content, I really like the community that has formed here. I don't go to Snapzu just to find new content (though it's always fun to read); I go to find people interested in similar things, engage in good discussions (like this one), and really feel like part of the community. Sorry if that's a bit sappy, but that friendliness and openness I encountered from day one is the reason I've stayed on here more than other aggregate content sites. So thanks :)
