Don't worry for my taste in French food, I'm a French native.

I wish I could, but I'd have to be a French citizen first. You realize that French is spoken outside of France, don't you? It's an official language in 29 countries and is spoken unofficially all over the world. I myself am Canadian, and speak French as my first language like 10 million other Canadians, roughly a third of Canada's population.

I believe you can get in France (and all of the European Union) for three months at a time without a visa (if you're American). I'm not sure how it works, but there are ways to live for a shortish period of time in Europe while working in youth hostels or doing volunteer work where lodging and/or food is provided. It may help you on the immigration process. Check out the WOOF program.
