What's the most recent app you've downloaded onto your phone, and how do you like it?

I wanted to try out the official reddit app to see if they had some new ideas I hadn't seen in any 3rd party apps. It was not innovative, or even good. Uninstalled.

Waze, an app for directions and traffic. It's pretty good I guess.

Mini Ninjas, an endless runner by Square Enix. It's pretty straightforward: You play as a ninja running along an endless road, collecting koins and materials, avoiding hazards, and killing samurai along the way. Left tap = jump, righ tap = attack. If you collect enough koins/materials, then you can create potions and unlock upgrades to use to your benefit while running, and you can also buy animal pets which you can temporarily transform into at the beginning of each run.

I'd say I like it pretty well! I initially downloaded it because I desperately needed yet another distraction to help me procrastinate, and it fulfills that duty very nicely. It's about as fun as any other endless-runner game.

I have been researching my next one, and it is going to be Sun Surveyor. If you take pictures, this is a pretty good tool to have. It predicts light condition at any time of the day at any location...Golden Hour, sunrise, sunsets, shadows...lot's of stuff.

UniWar is a free turn-based strategy game with three balanced races. We can even play online multi-player for free. There are things we can buy, within the game but nothing that makes winning easier (but maybe the ability re undo your moves/turn, so you can test things and undo them if you mess up, but it's not such a big deal).

And Transit app, it's an app developed in Montreal that lets you know what are the public transit routes in a small radius around you, what direction they go, when the next ones will arrive, etc. It works in about 100 cities worldwide, and with Uber. No more need to find the specific app for the city you're in, or the many when more than one transit agency work together in the same city (like one for buses, one for trains/subways, one for ferries...) It has real-times of passage for the companies that have this information. Really helpful, often even more than the official Transit Agency app. Check it out!
