Make sure you don't list where you took the sand from because in some places that may be illegal.

I collect knives. I haven't counted and I don't have them displayed or anything, but I have approx. 10 folding knives and 7-10 fixed blade knives. I have 2 fixed and 3 folders that consistently see the most use.

How would they catch you though? As in, how can they prove where you really took it from?

If I went online and said I got some sand from _______ beach in _________ that might be substantial evidence. I doubt they would care that much though.

I thought about it many times, it's an addiction made worse by my compulsion to do so. I can't stop.
Is there something about the knives you like? Design? or just anything you fancy at the time?

Knives are useful tools. I like to obtain high quality knives, use them for a season, then obtain a new high quality knife. Since I work construction I tell myself that after every construction season, I get one new knife. I go to a few local knife shops, peruse both the factory and hand made knives, and pick out a favorite knife that is reasonably priced. Then I take it home and look at how pretty it is and carry it around in my backpack or pocket. If it's lunch time and I need a knife to slice cheese or spread condiments I use my knife and then clean it. If I get some mail or a package, I use my knife. If I am out camping and need to start a campfire, I'll make some shavings using my knife. Also, if I go to a steak restaurant, I use my knife, not the dull restaurant knife.

I don't do anything fancy like skin animals, baton wood, or murder people with my knives, I just use them for every day tasks.
