What is a dollar store item that is actually worth the dollar?
Or two dollars... I know that many don't stay under $1.

Just don't buy the cheese. It is not even cheese, it's made of vegetable oil. If you put it in the microwave it won't even melt :(
Found it
Fuck that noise
Wow, I didn't even know such crap exists.
That's nasty man, who would ever buy this crap?
Oh god yes that is it.
Why would they sell it as shredded?
That makes me squirm just thinking about it.
I heard about this and that sound disgusting
Drug test, pregnancy test, chalkboard chalk, sample size items for traveling, and plain cheap drinking glasses-plates-metal utensils. You really have to pick through it and it depends on the dollar store.
Just don't buy food, pet food, or beauty supplies. They can be very low quality or even old.
Of those I only bought dog food, and yeah I agree to stay out and go to a pet store or at least a normal store. Unless you want the little bugger to get sick or even die.
As someone who used to work at a dollar store, it always left in me in awe that people stole the $1 pregnancy tests. We had like 5 different types, all more than $1 and all with a decent name brand.. but no. Always went for the dollar store brand ones.
That is strange. Why wouldn't they steal the ones actual worth something?
Maybe if they got caught, they could just be like "Oops, here's your low amount of money". Who knows why people do what they do.
Any kind of greeting card. Why spend $8 on a hallmark card when you can get one for $1 that's not even that bad.
I can't answer your question, but I know what NOT to buy. Any fork or spoon, unless you enjoy constantly bending them back.
But the best part of bendy utensils is being able to use them as catapults to annoy your friends!
And for those of us who do enjoy bending it back...
If you want grocery coupons, many Dollar Trees sell Sunday newspapers for $1, which is a lot cheaper than most newsstands.
I bought a veggie peeler at a dollar store 5 or 6 years ago and it's still working fine. That counts.
Alarms for the door, you have to aim it right on the door, but yeah, it can be good for alarms to scare people
I can still buy a 20 oz bottle of pop for a buck. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me.
Generally most snacks are a good deal at dollar stores. Just stay clear from the no name brands.
Pistachio nuts are two dollars more in DG than in the local grocery here.
Yeah obviously some things will be more. Pistachios are kind of a gourmet food and should't really be in a dollar store in the first place.
Dollar stores are the place to go for tortilla chips. Giant bags for a buck.
It's not $1, but we have a $1-$5 store I go to. I picked up an FM transmitter to play music from my phone in my car that's pretty great. I'm surprised it worked so well since most of the time they go for $40 minimum.
I find dollar stores are great for buying decoration for themed events (Halloween, Easter, Christmas...). With a small budget you can get quite a lot, and it only has to last for a few days before you don't need it anymore.
