It's a complicated venture for me. I simultaneously must lose weight, yet losing weight makes me very prone to uric acid stones. I got a stone last year and it resulted in four months of needing to be on painkillers (opiates), immense amounts of pain, and overall the most miserable period of my life - I was on the verge of quitting my job needlessly.

So my first step to getting healthy is to meet with my GP and look at better strategies to help monitor my uric acid and prevent another kidney stone.
