Don't be so stubborn that you refuse to quit the things you don't enjoy anymore. It's OK to leave that sports team if it's not right for you. It's OK to change your major to something else that wasn't "the dream" if you've realized the program you're in is not what you like or are good at. I could have saved some major heartache. Persistence is a virtue but being inflexible is not.
