This is kinda weird, but as a person with very long hair... brushing sucks and it hurts, then I tried my cousin's Tangle Teezer. Ordered one off Amazon a couple days later. It is so much faster (for whatever reason, I have no idea why this thing works so well) and it rarely ever hurts and if it does hurt it's not nearly as much as a regular brush or comb.
