On snapzu, being an active member results in more perks and over time, makes the website an even more enjoyable place. So, I would suggest to be very active. On reddit, you can just lurk and not really lose any of the reddit experience. However, on snapzu, the more you level up, more and more perks get unlocked (you can follow more people, subscribe to more tribes, etc).
Like I mentioned above, being able to follow people is key. Following more people will diversify your local feed, possibly exposing you to tribes you might not have encountered otherwise. There are also some customization/personalization tools that become unlocked as well, which also apply for any tribes for which you are the chief.
Yup, the individual user interaction here is much more fleshed out than reddit. You will be able to find users that you know will consistently post content that you will enjoy.

And what are the best perks? I can see how being able to follow more tribes is good, is there anything else?

oh you can follow specific commenters? man that's so much more advanced than simply tagging someone!
To be fair, reddit has a "friend" system which allows you to see their comments and submissions at /r/friends, just not many people are aware of it.

That does sound good, thanks for answering!
I love this. I just recently moved over from Reddit and in the last couple of days I've commented more than I ever have in all my time on Reddit.
