Read the prologue. It's actually quite entertaining, near the bottom they have a link that explains the leveling system. Basically as you get experience in the community, you level up and unlock new abilities.
That is very cool. I have been a member for a while, but just now becoming active post-reddit debacle. I like the idea of encouraging active participation to level up and unlock new features. The prologue does a great job of explaining everything. There's a post in the lounge titled "What a nice place." Very true.
Enjoy the first 15 easy levels, they get significantly harder to hit after that!
