What is it like? The recipes I find for onion wine list either 1:1:2 or 2:1:2 of onions, potato, and raisins. I'm still trying to figure out what the flavor profile would be like...Sweet vidalia? Sweet raisin? Bland potato?
1lb of Vidalia onions
1 lb golden sultanas
1/2 lb russet potatoes
2lbs of sugar
a packet of wine yeast
and the rest spring water per gallon batch.
What does it taste like? not bad at all .
It's flavor is hard to describe hah ever have the sweet onion sauce at subway? that's as close as I can think of lol but subtract the acid and oil flavors
but with a dash of taragon, some rosemerry and sage it is one of the best marinades for pork out there in my opinion
A lot of my experiments in wine making end up in experiments in cooking lol.
