Hah! Why does it feel weird? I'm like, proud to be a digital artist. Nothing against traditional art - I love traditional art, it's something I'd never be able to do. Too messy for me.
I think it has to do with the stylis and the fact I use it like a pencil and not like a paintbrush. But digitally my brush is mimicking pastel chalk. So that's why it feels weird.
I agree with you about the traditional art, and my favorite look pastel chalk is very messy.
