How do you refer to your action when working on digital art? Drawing, Painting, etc..

I never know what to call it, is it drawing or painting or something else entirely.

Depends. Usually I just call it drawing, plain and simple. But if I'm specifically doing a painting in say, Photoshop, then I'll call it painting and add at the end that I either did it in ______ program or just that I did it digitally.

I don't know why but it just feels weird. I guess I'll stick with 'Digital painting in Corel Painter'.

Hah! Why does it feel weird? I'm like, proud to be a digital artist. Nothing against traditional art - I love traditional art, it's something I'd never be able to do. Too messy for me.

I think it has to do with the stylis and the fact I use it like a pencil and not like a paintbrush. But digitally my brush is mimicking pastel chalk. So that's why it feels weird. I agree with you about the traditional art, and my favorite look pastel chalk is very messy.
