KDE's Plasma 5.4: The most advanced and beautiful Linux desktop
There is something interesting going on desktop computers -- the UI is becoming heavily influenced by mobile operating systems. From Windows to Gnome you can see heavy influence of mobile OSes. KDE's Plasma desktop, which I consider to be the most advanced desktop environment is, however, an exception.

Antergos updated with new ISOs and significant improvements to their Installer
Today we are pleased to announce the release of Cnchi v0.10 as the new stable version of our installer. As always, we put great effort into squashing bugs and improving code quality. One other area of focus during this development cycle was making Cnchi more reliable. To that end, Cnchi’s download module received what basically amounts to a total rewrite.

With this release a total of 107 applications have been ported to KDE Frameworks 5. The team is striving to bring the best quality to your desktop and these applications. So we're counting on you to send your feedback. With this release there are several new additions to the KDE Frameworks 5-based applications list, including Dolphin, the Kontact Suite, Ark, Picmi, etc.

OpenSSH 7.0 released
OpenSSH 7.0 has just been released. OpenSSH is a 100% complete SSH protocol 2.0 implementation and includes sftp client and server support. Before updating and restarting sshd on a remote host, make sure you do not rely on DSA keys for connecting to it.

GOG have officially supported Linux for just over a year, and to mark the occasion they have worked out new official installers for all their Linux games.

Arch User Repository 4.0 is live and now uses Git repositories.
The most exciting change in this release is that Git repositories are now used for AUR packages. This new feature comes along with some other nice additions, such as an SSH interface for registered AUR users.
