Any Wikipedia app (I use LoboWiki), because this allows me to spend a lot of time reading articles irrelevant to what I should be actually doing. Plus it's nice to have a Today I Learned moment each day.
For a slightly different angle, I wish everybody who loves playing around with their Android phones could know Tasker, Llama, or Automate if they're into automating phones, or Themer if it's more visual customisation they're into. A way to pass time indeed (though perhaps not productively, haha).
