Android Wear smartwatches come to the iPhone
In a nondescript conference room at Google’s headquarters a few weeks ago, I paired my iPhone to a smartwatch running Android for the first time. I was there to ask Jeff Chang, the lead product manager for Wear, how he’d managed to get Android watches working with iOS and how much they could do with an iPhone. Then my first notification came in on my newly paired Huawei Watch and my carefully laid plans evaporated.

Moto X Play review
On paper the Moto X Play is a tantalizing proposition — for £270 SIM-free, you get a handset with a great display, an enormous battery and the prospect of the first really good Moto camera. In reality, the Play delivers on a many of those promises, but falls short in other areas. And in the past week of using the phone as a daily driver, we've been more surprised by what it's bad at than what it's good at.

Living with USB-C
I was working in a mobile tech store when microUSB began its slow dominance of the mobile ecosystem. Everyone I worked with at the time glared at the massive wall of barrel connectors, weird plastic plugs with copper bits on the sides, and those huge 20-pin plugs with equal degrees of hatred. MicroUSB changed all of that, and eventually made it possible for almost every phone and tablet to use the same connector over the last couple of years.

The Turing Phone will begin shipping on December 18
We have seen some pretty unique designs on Android phones in the past, but the Turing Phone is likely the craziest in recent memory. Turing Robotic Industries, the company behind the Turing Phone, has announced that Foxconn will be the exclusive manufacturer of the smartphone, and shipments will begin on December 18. That date sound familiar to you? That's because it's Star Wars day, and the company is huge fans.
