      The article’s from last year, I remember it. The algorithms described are toys in an open source project. Shiny toys, but certainly not the kind of crooked get-rich-quick scheme dreamed up by the commenter above. Even if we take that comment to be specifically about the article itself, or about the ideal of proportional democratic representation generally, this business about a brother-in-law getting a boat is, at very best, unreasoning contempt. Unless you get it. If so, please do let me know. To me, it seems like excess baggage of one kind or another.

      I think the commenter is not supporting his argument, and yes perhaps, contemptuously. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/07/30/1406...ats-first-must-regain-the-state-Supreme-Court Use PA as am example, and the potential plan of attack and the obstacles, no mention of math or boats.

      A quick glance at the unruly, literally, gaggle of municipalities that are contained in that state would make even the capture of the Supreme Court meaningless without consolidating the myriad of little kingdoms...some of which may be held intact with a boat.
