My wife is planing on returning to work in 6 weeks. It sucks to me that the time that she should be spening healing and bonding with the baby she will be worrying about fiances and getting back into the swing of teaching. I wish things would changes however it is the system we have and are in.
My Mom went back to work in the factory less than a month after having me. I don't remember it of course, but I can tell when she talks about it that she still feels remorse. Once when the factory looked like it may be shutting down, she was telling me about it and said, "and this is what I get for spending all that time away from my kids" and she started to cry. I'll never forget that moment.
