As with Falwell and Phelps I refuse to celebrate the death of anyone. Even the most vile person has family who loves them and feels the loss of their passing.
However, I will celebrate the passing of yet another impediment to human progress.
I'm personally okay with celebrating the death of some people; Fred Phelps was definitely one of them.
But I'd never celebrate the death of someone who simply held a different ideology. Scalia ideals were definitely different than mine, but they are ideals I can respect, even if I don't agree with them.
It's strangely both a sad and happy day for the country.
