Steve King Says It's Legal, So I Tried To Marry My Lawnmower
“You could marry your lawnmower with this decision,” Iowa Congressman Steve King said last week about the recent Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage. Something about that statement didn’t seem very… accurate. But hey, this is an elected member of the U.S. Congress, responsible for crafting the nation’s laws. So Starting Line decided to do a little fact-checking of our own on this topic. That’s right, I actually tried to marry my lawnmower.

I love how the recorder asks how old the lawn mover is before anything else.
I guess you have to start somewhere.
Well, you have to make sure that the.awnmower is old enough to consent to marriage. Although, I think sapience is or at least should be a requirement for marriage.
Looks like with those bullet points mean you can't marry animals either. In case anyone still wanted to believe that's what gay marriage would lead to next.
I hate my lawn mower. On the other hand, I have this ice cream maker that does nothing but give me sweet treats. Mmmmmm baby... so cold she's HOT.
Well, it is a pretty good looking lawnmower.
I can only hope that other members of Congress decide to be as rational as Congressman King is here.
