People, even union members, always seem to forget that the union leadership holds their authority at the consent of the union members. If they don't like how the union is representing them they can vote them out.
No, I'm saying that unions have been consistently attacked and undermined since the days of the Pinkerton union-busting, and in the last generation conservatives have finally succeeded in breaking their power. And by an amazing happenstance, the decline of union power has coincided with the decline of worker rights and wage stagnation for all but the elite. And here you are propagating that agenda. I don't think that's a coincidence, either.
