American Airlines 737-800s to go from 150 to 172 Seats! Less Space for Passengers
Aside from hiking up prices, the one thing that really annoys passengers is reducing their space. At 30,000 feet, personal space is money and we are willing to pay for more legroom or an emergency exit seat. So it comes as no surprise that travellers on the American Airlines 737-800 routes are not happy. After saying it wouldn’t happen, it seems it will. The American Airlines Densification program has begun with the airline cramming in 22 more seats per 737.

Time for a serious boycott, we cannot let these greedy airlines think this is ok, it's already considerably worse than in the 90's and they are making a killing.
I totally agree.Eventually they will have us all strapped in standing up. i'm taking a trip at the end of this month and I'm flying Delta.
Fuck American Airlines. I had the worst flight experience of my life on an AA long haul flight in economy. Horrible and it resulted in a blood clot. These bastarss are literally going to kill people with this seat space.
Never believe a money grabbing CEO. Also at the bottom of hewrite up it says I have successfully subscribed..Ummm,no I didn't.
He just misspoke! He meant "why wouldn't we add more seats"!
