Of course it never arrived. They were just fantasizing we'd all lop our boxes into the land fill..Well nope. I have zero interest in mobile devices. I want a nice computer with Linux as my os,a cushy chair, big monitor and a cup of tea. To do real work, you need a full fledged computer, not a tiny little tablet or worse,a smart phone. BTW,why do most writers prefer to get hit by a train before they mention Linux? It's like they still think there are only two operating systems in existence, OSX and Windows. I get so sick of this. This basically comes across as a thinly veiled Windows ad.

Tablets are great for portability but thats it. I don't even like using my ipad at home, since I know I have a PC right in the other room.

These days a "phablet" is good enough since it has the use of a phone and a reasonable and usable size for everyday things like games, apps and movies.

Yep. To me tablets/phones for work, is like using a scooter to go on a cross-country motorcycle trip. You look silly doing it, and its not as fun as if you had a full sized bike!

I agree. " To do real work, you need a full fledged computer"
