Even movies that aren't meant to be taken seriously demand that you think about them if they're any good. Anything with style inspires thought. Take, let's say, the delightfully campy From Dusk Till Dawn (just the first of many that came to my head). This is a movie with a silly plot and an identity crisis. It completely changes genres half-way through. None of it makes sense, and all the characters are entirely aware of how stupid the plot is. But, it still makes you think. It still makes you feel. You empathize with the characters. They don't act like the NPCs in Call of Duty 3, which is more than can be said for most of the characters in Jurassic World.
Plenty of stupid movies still have a whole lot of heart, and they make you think about what the writer and/or director was trying to achieve. I don't understand why so many people have this "turn your brain off" mentality. Why would I want to waste ~2 hours gaining absolutely nothing from the experience? That's what your asking I do when you say, "Turn off your brain."
