The problem is sometimes they no longer are willing to bargain with you, last year AT&T decided that it would only bargain if we switched from Uverse to DTV which was basically opting to give us the DTV promotional rate, instead we just opted to drop packages, those crappy and old movies on HBO and Starz aren't worth the price they wanted. I do miss the NHL and Outdoor channels though. Plus I can always borrow other credentials for HBO's Game of Thrones.
Yea, I haven't had much luck with bargaining either, though I'm admittedly not the best at it and probably talking to the wrong people. We've just done a rotation of closing an account in one name of someone in the house, and opening in the name of another, and switching payments over to them, etc. This is also why I don't get 2 year contracts though.
