Is the Y Chromosome Disappearing?

Scientists know that the Y chromosome been shrinking in size over millions of years, but recent studies suggest that it has more important genes, besides the ones that cause biological maleness.

That's a very good question. Well the worrisome bits right now has to do with plastics...I posted The Disappearing Male elsewhere,on Snapzu, but in case you missed it,I'll post it again. This is really disturbing stuff.

Ok,done...Your comment reminds me of an episode of Alien Nation, where they had three sexes to reproduce and the third sex was so few in numbers, they were kept in sanctuaries. At one point, the protagonist went there to select the third sex and the one helping them select said:"You will have to excuse his exhaustiveness.."

Thanks! I saw the title but can't watch the video ATM (traveling with very crappy connection). Is this about surfactants and endocrine disruption? I'll watch as soon as I'm back tomorrow.

possibly a massive research into creating sperm through SCIENCE!

and/or a massive undertaking to harvest as much material from as broad a spectrum as possible into frozen sperm banks occurs. Men with decent genetics will charge the earth or be drafted to spread their seed far and wide xD

or.. Hybridogenesis where we can keep genetic variation by combining our womanly DNAs together so all our children aren't just freaky-deaky clones.

Here are some other snaps you may like...
