There is GIMP, if you want to go the Open Source way. If you have Windows, Adobe is giving away Photoshop CS2 for free. Yes it is quite old, but for real, for the purpose of private editing and making banners and so for, it's perfectly fine. You need to register though.

I didn't even thought about cross-posting, just as an example /t/norge . There will be like 90% things be written in norwegian instead of english without closing out people who want to write in english since the don't speak norwegian so they can also write there.

I can see a point in not wanting this by admins cause mostly the won't speak that language and so for they don't know what the content is about.

There is no such thing as "done right" in case of LoL. The best thing you can try is PlayonLinux and follow the steps there. If you haven't tried it before, hit me up and I'll help you. No guarentee that it will work properly.

Right now I'm on Arch with XFCE. I would only recommend it if you are willing to learn (sometimes be frustrated with an Optimus Laptop like mine). I tried many distributions over time (incl. Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora, openSuSE, and so on), but I stayed at Arch cause i feel like I'm having full control from the beginning and can find a solution for problems way faster as with a "pre-build" system.

Funny, I just wanted to write that it would be great if there would be a gaming related tribe for Linux, now it exists and you are already in it.
