    Good list. There was somewhere a similar list of tips from Stephen King. One that stuck with me was to avoid using "very".

    The next-to-last tip is "fewer prepositions." The author gives "He wants to meet up with Sarah in the morning" versus "He wants to meet Sarah in the morning" as an example. I'm not sure about that example. Is there a subtle difference in meaning between the two sentences?
