Correlation =/= causation.
Nearly 100% of adult car accident fatalities had acne as teenagers. Therefore, acne causes car accidents. Fatal ones.
100% agree - my immediate thought upon seeing this was similar (and I love your analogy!). Basically, unless people are leaving notes specifying climate change as the reason, what we are seeing is most likely correlation, not causation.
