Nintendo Bricks Wii U Consoles Unless Owners Agree To New EULA
Nintendo: it protects what it believes it owns with great vigor. The company has rarely missed an opportunity to make sure that other people are not allowed to alter or mess with the stuff Nintendo insists is Nintendo's. In an apparent effort to maximize the irony combo-meter, Nintendo also has been known to make sure that customers don't mess with or alter the properties those customers actually own, such as online support for games that Nintendo decided to alter long after purchase...

Four Things I Learned While Writing A Book About Super Mario Bros. 2
Out of all the sequels in the Super Mario series, the longest-spanning, most consistently popular and highly acclaimed game franchise in history, Super Mario Bros. 2 is the strangest and most important.Twenty-six years ago, the videogame starring Mario and three of his friends landed on American shores with a resounding roar. How Videogames Like Minecraft Actually Help Kids Learn to Read
Brecht Vandenbroucke Minecraft is the hot new videogame among teachers and parents. It's considered genuinely educational: Like an infinite set of programmable Lego blocks, it's a way to instill spatial reasoning, math, and logic—the skills beloved by science and technology educators. But from what I've seen, it also teaches something else: good old-fashioned reading and…

Every Game Boy Start Screen, Ever
Sometimes, it's the anticipation that's the best bit. In the old days (and, in some cases, still now) the title screens for games were a mini work of art in themselves, and that includes the rather limited scope of the Game Boy canvas. So, this amazing/ridiculous video created by YouTuber NickspolsionFX deserves to be appreciated as a work on a level with Leonardo, or Van Gogh perhaps - as it features the Start screens of every (give or take a couple) original Game Boy game ever.
