Powerball Rolls Over To Billion-Dollar Jackpot
The US Powerball lottery jackpot is expected to rise to at least $1.3bn (£895m) after a 19th draw without a winner on Saturday night. No one matched the numbers - 32, 16, 19, 57, 34 and Powerball number 13 - for the prize of almost $950m (£654m) which was up for grabs on Saturday.

GG to the person that spends all of their life savings on it and loses everything
Yea I can see a lot of entire paychecks being wasted.
YUp. What I'd like to see is they divide up the huge prize and offer a huge group of people each a quarter of a million rather than it all going to one person,but I know that won't ever happen.
Oh, good, I was worried when I didn't win last time, thought I wasn't going to get my billion.
Once I finally win this jackpot I'm totally buying that island in the Pacific and you're all invited to visit.

Nice! I wonder if whomever wins the Powerball would be ranked as one of the richest people in the world!? Probably not, but it would be nice for that person!
At the very least, whomever wins the Powerball will instantly become a member of the 1%, even if they have to share the jackpot. Even split 20 ways would be enough to buy such an island (although not much else).
